The Giant's Ring in Belfast, Northern Ireland is an ancient henge. Situated near Shaw's Bridge, south of the city, the standing stone monument is surrounded by a circular earth bank, 200 metres in diameter and 4 metres high.
Not long before sunset on an afternoon in February, there was an interesting sky. Here, from a low position, I was trying to get the edge of the clouds to line up with the top of the stones.
In this shot, I exposed for the sky which left the stones looking very dark, but I was able to gain back some of the detail in post processing. From this angle, it wouldn't really work as a silhouette.
