Minnowburn Beeches, November 2

The vibrant yellow and orange foliage colours of the tree in the foreground caught my eye at Minnowburn Beeches, Belfast, November 2009. I was also attracted to this scene by the afternoon light which is bringing out the textures in the stonework of the old bridge.

There is a bit of movement in the leaves as, despite the sunshine, the wind blows. The fallen orange leaves gather on the path and banks of the river below the tree.
