St Anne's Cathedral Belfast 2by *Gerard1972

Photography / Architecture / Exterior

Saint Anne's Cathedral in Belfast city centre. The foundation stone was laid in 1899.

The 40 metre Spire of Hope was added in 2007.

(Reworked from scratch 1 August 2010. I have tried to retain the slightly off-colour sky as I liked it.)

Best viewed large.

Thanks Jonny. Yeah, again somewhere I must re-visit too. I really only got a couple of "traditional" looking shots. I think there may be some great architecture round the back.

I prefer the sky in this too.

The sky was the same as in the original photo, it wasn't added in. I just managed somehow to pull those colours out of it.

Sky is better in this one. Also if you apply a tilt shift effect you could make this an awsome minature fake.

I've seen the tilt shift look and it's something I'd really love to try out... Maybe on this one

There's a fairly basic way of faking it after the shot in Photoshop here,

It's not as good as a real tilt-shift lens but I don't have the £1200 to spend on one.
