The Giant's Ring, Belfast Rby *Gerard1972

The Giant's Ring in Belfast, Northern Ireland is an ancient henge. Situated near Shaw's Bridge, south of the city, the standing stone monument is surrounded by a circular earth bank, 200 metres in diameter and 4 metres high.

It is a popular destination for visitors in the area. On this particular day, which should have been "a school day", the place was crawling with people, young and old. I was lucky to get this shot at all.

(Altered the shot to be sharper and remove the grass foreground to square it off.)
