Underneath the Acer Treeby *Gerard1972

Situated in Belvoir Park, Belfast, I think this is an Acer (Japanese Maple) tree. I was struck by the variety of colours in the foliage on an autumn day in 2008.

I shot this from the ground, looking upwards. The underexposed branches contrast with the colour in the leaves and sky.

Best viewed large.

I did a fair bit of processing on this, so it doesn't exactly look natural, but I think it looks better for it. Actually it's one of my current faves.
