It's been a hectic few weeks with the unusually harsh winter. Hopefully a few sessions in sub zero (Celsius) temperatures have produced a couple of deviations I am proud of. As usual, I am way behind...
Back in September I received my first DD, which I was really proud of. Since then I have achieved something which I am perhaps even more amazed at and very excited about. I was contacted a while ago by a local publisher who saw some of my photos of the River Lagan online and thought they would suit a book which was in the works. That book is now in local bookshops, and various well known book sellers online, and the cover shot is mine! The book is called "Rivers of Belfast: A History" and the cover front and back is this shot:

The book also features this picture as a double page spread:

I personally prefer the portrait rainbow reflection shot, but this was the one they asked for. I'm not complaining
It's a pretty amazing feeling to walk into a bookshop and see a photo I took sitting on the shelves! (Also if you are interested in Belfast history, I would highly recommend the book.)

I have had a quick look though your gallery and it's really impressive. I'll do my best to get caught up over the coming days and weeks.
Id love to get some of my work published in a book, I've had shots in magazines and the local papers a fair bit but never gotten anything in a more permanent format like a book!
Two fantastic shots too!
Well done on getting your work into some magazines and papers. It's a great feeling to see something you've done out in the public domain.
Hopefully it'll open more doors for you!
